Life Ruled by a Passion

Passionate - adjective - showing strong feelings or a strong belief for

I'm a passionate person. And by definition that means I'm a person with strong feelings for certain things. Which is far too true. But for some reason, there is one thing that the word passionate is not strong enough for the feelings I have towards this... pattern.

I AM OBSESSED WITH POLKA DOTS

(Obsessed - verb - preoccupy or fill ones mind with, continually, intrusively and to a troubling extent)

Yup. Thats me. Obsessed. Polka Dots consumes me. I kid you not. I LOVE THIS PATTERN. And honestly, I couldn't even tell you where this dot mania started. However, it did and I am not ashamed. Do you hear me? I AM NOT ASHAMED!
So, knowing this about me, it probably wont surprise you to learn that I have just a few polka dot belongings...
I just love crawling into bed at night, knowing that I'm sleeping in polka dots.
For when I want to see...
And for when I don't want to see.
I'm prepared. I probably got everything you would ever dream you would need with a polka dot pattern.
Umbrella, Sweater and Headband
P.S. I also have a collection of headbands - yes you could say I'm obsessed with those too. So naturally, many of my headbands are indeed polka dotted.

I secretly love this shirt, but I don't know if I would ever wear it anywhere public... Can you imagine trying to take me seriously if I showed up to my job in that?

One of my MANY swim suits sporting my beloved pattern.

What outfit would be complete without Polka Dot shoes?

Don't worry, I have a fair share of polka dot socks too.
It behooves me to mention that my senior year prom dress was polka dotted. I don't mean to brag or anything but my date and I looked so good that year.  Don't believe? Just ask for proof.

I think it may be safe to say that Polka Dots is a religion to me. It is not a joking matter. I swear, and my friends will attest, that any and everything, and I mean everything that is covered in polka dots, catches my eye. And then after I see it, I will proceed to freak out.
Whether it is relevant to me and my life or not, I will take the time to check it out. And sometimes, if I love it enough, I will purchase it. If not, I will settle for a picture. Like this lovely item:
Adorable right?
But under what circumstances would I as a 20 year old still going to school need a tea kettle? I don't even drink and/or like tea.

I'm obsessed.
I think, in celebration of my obsession and to proudly state "I am obsessed with polka dots," I know what I am going to dress up as for Halloween.
Yup, prepare world. Emily is about to hit the streets as Minnie Mouse. And you best believe I will be the best looking Minnie Mouse dressed in Polka Dots there ever was.
Probably even better than the real one. Sorry Minnie.
(Hopefully people won't think I'm obsessed with Minnie Mouse - that would just be plain weird.)

When asked what my favorite color is, my reply: "Polka Dots"
Yea. I love them THAT much.
So much in fact that when I am finally ready to tie the knot to some lucky handsome man - I will be wearing something of this nature.

It will be a glorious wedding. And the theme will be Polka Dots. And there will be much rejoicing.

I hope you have learned to understand just the small magnitude of how much I love these precious dots. They are indeed precious to me.
And you know, I'm glad I'm obsessed. I have a problem and I don't care who knows it.

It makes me - ME.
And I love that.
